Look of the Week: July 26, 2010

July 26, 2010

Ahh, the scholarly young man, who spends his days in pursuit of knowledge, and his evenings reviewing all that he has learned.  Young Noah, pictured below, show us that being bookish doesn’t have to look boring.

Immersed in Arthur Spiderwick’s Field Guide to the Fantastical World Around You ($4.99), Noah has most likely forgotten how handsome he looks in his size 10 Gap Polo ($3.95) and size 8 Gap cargo shorts (new with tags! also available in size 10!  only $9.95!)  How does he like the book, you’re wondering?

If that smile is any indication, he likes it just fine.  He also likes his footwear just fine — navy socks (50 cents) tucked into size 6 Route 66 loafers ($3.95.)

WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?  I heard that aghast cry from some of you loyal customers out there.  Size 6 shoes?  I thought the Goose only carried up to size 5!  Well, you thought correctly.  You see, dear shopper, every Mama Goose buyer was once a newbie at the buying station, and every newbie is prone to rookie mistakes.  Buying a pair of cute boys’ dress shoes without double checking the size?  It’s understandable, and it’s all the better fortune for some mama out there with an adolescent academian to clothe.
